This was such a fun read!

Emma Rosenblum returns following her smashing debut, Bad Summer People with another scandalous, drama filled summer sizzling read , VERY BAD COMPANY.

This time, the leadership team is  headed to Miami for a corporate retreat like no other!

The title says it all! This story is about a very bad company and the greedy people who run it. I really enjoyed this author's previous book Bad Summer People, so I was very excited to read this one.
This cast of characters as colorful, greedy and conniving .

Narrated with by January LaVoy (my favorite) the audiobook brings each character to life and makes it easier to get swept up in the drama.

Almost DNF’d it. I love an ensemble character drama but unfortunately this one just got too boring.

Another book by Rosenblum you can devour in a sitting or two. Yes, it’s not great, but sometimes you just need a rich-people-behaving-badly three-star read to cleanse the palette. Especially if it’s under 300 pages. I’ll keep reading books like this if she keeps writing them.

A member of a tech startup goes missing on their company retreat in Miami. Caitlin is the new hire but unsure what her role actually is... but with a seven figure salary, stocks, and other benefits, how was she to say no?

Executives behaving badly. And there's murder. 🤣 It read almost like a reality show, I was so intrigued but I couldn't really root for anyone. Every character was pretty terrible, constantly making self serving decisions, anything to get ahead. But I guess that's what money can do. 🤷‍♀️

There were a lot of POVs, which kindof added to the chaos. I found myself mixing up characters, as they didn't have much depth to them.

I did like the commentary surrounding corporate greed and the toxicity of a highly competitive workplace. The CEO was the literal worst.

🎧 The narration by January LaVoy was great. Her voices along with the chaos of this story was thoroughly entertaining.
