Never Seduce a Scot

I felt that this was okay, it was better than expected but it still had a lot of corny moments which are sometimes alright, but I wasn't so apt to ignore them like I would in a Julie Garwood novel. I think the title is completely ridiculous and really has nothing to do with the plotline of this book, and the cover is even worse- glad I got this on ebook yikes.

The only book I was invested in after reading a TJR book.

Never Seduce a Scot deserves its good reviews. Its resilient FMC and astute MMC make you root for their development individually and together. There's satisfaction in getting justice as well.

(will make a more extended review soon)

I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes it's difficult for me to get into the right mindset for historical books. The idea of arranged marriages is hard to wrap my head around. That a king would decree a marriage between warring clans .... actually makes for a really good book.

Graeme and Eveline actually enter into their marriage with a pretty hefty dose of optimism, all things considered. Things that you figure can go wrong do ... there's not a lot of curveballs here, but Banks really has a knack for writing characters you want to root for. Which is a huge plus in my book when we're talking about multiple books in the series.

Struggling to cope with a disability is challenging in the best of times. Watching Eveline put her faith and trust with Graeme & Rorie was so heartwarming. Another great book ... on to Bowen's story!

This is my first historical book written by Maya Banks. It was well written and a fast read. The storyline was concise and clearly written. As soon as I read the book I hopped straight into the next one.

I like the hero and loved the heroine. They worked well together and the HEA is one I’ll remember for awhile.

I love a man in love 👑

I totally read this book once before. But I guess it was before goodreads or I just didn’t rate it. I don’t know but it was all very familiar and I knew what was going to happen before it did.

Loved this! I like dhow mature both the MMC and FMC were, and from the get go was mature enough to be understanding and communicate with each other, and treat each other with patience.

The only thing i hated were how awful the MMC’s clansmen treated the girl. Like that Kierstan girl and Nora. I hated how some characters were so easily forgiven and was l”oh im sooo sorry pls forgive me i was wrong” . But anyway. Everything else was great the love the 2 had for each other, and for their families made me teary eyed hahahah

This was ok. I kept having the feeling I’d read it before in the beginning but I don’t think I had.
