4.5 stars!!

This book deserves to be round up to 5 stars just because it made me keep reading until 4 in the morning when I had a final exam at 10 am. It was addictive, full with both romance and action. I couldn't go to sleep without knowing that Eveline (h) and Graeme (H) get the HEA they deserved!!

Eveline Armstrong hasn´t been able to hear since she fell off a horse while trying to run away from her future husband. A future husband that has charmed everyone but her. Trying to save herself from having to marry the devil, she hasn't told anyone that her only problem is that she can´t hear. In fact, she doesn't talk at all.

But Montgomerys and Armstrongs have been in war for generations, and the king wants his two most powerful clans to become allies. So he dictates a marriage between Graeme Montgomery and Eveline Armstrong, even though everyone knows Eveline can´t be a wife. At least, that's what she made sure everyone thought.

If you are looking for a romance with a scared female waiting to be saved by an alpha warrior, then this book is not for you.
Eveline is not only clever, caring and beautiful, she's also a strong, fierce heroine who doesn´t hesitate to put herself in danger to save the man she loves. It was such a pleasure seeing a heroine who is both sweet and brave, kind and tough.

The very sight of her did odd things to his mood. Anyone who could look at Eveline and not smile was a harder man than he. She was… She was a ray of sunshine on the dreariest of days. She filled a hole he hadn't even thought occupied his heart.

He couldn´t let her go.

Eveline deserves the moon, but Graeme Montgomery is truly worthy of her love. Both are so good, loyal and fierless. This couple has stolen a piece of my heart.

I´m not into Medieval romance, but this one is an exception. I´m so glad I gave it a try. It was a romantic, beautiful story filled with action and a solid plot. I truly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Medieval romance or who wants to try this subgenre. Eveline and Graeme won´t let you down!

Manis(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ Sudah sangat lama nggak kesal saat baca hisrom. Memang Skot hisrom itu lebih ngena daripada tetangganya. Tapi masih saja aku doyan≧∇≦ WJAOWKSKSOK!

Maya Banks termasuk ekstrem sih nyiptain karakter perempuannya. Disaat pada rame menyunjung tinggi kesempurnaan (yang biasanya ditemui dalam hisrom), MB berani mubuhin sedikit kekurangan pada karakternya. Seri berikutnya setelah buku ini bahkan lebih njaleb lagi. EPYU IAN MCHUGH! Kamu meninggal begitu cepat. Mustinya disiksa dulu lah ya.

I really liked this book but I wanted it to be a bit longer.

I really liked Eveline’s character and how kind Graeme was even though she is the daughter of his enemy. I liked how patient and respectful he was. I liked the beginning when Eveline started a friendship with Rorie but then Rorie was sort of forgotten in the story. I wanted to see more of Graeme’s brothers interacting with Eveline as I wanted to see if they really accepted her.

Even though the scenes with Graeme’s clan were upsetting, I liked how well written those scenes were as you could see clearly how Eveline felt. Then I liked how things started to work out
(how the women wanted Eveline’s forgiveness)

Then something happens and when it’s solved, the book ends.

I wanted to see more of the interactions that Eveline has with Graeme’s clan to see what it would look like now that they’ve accepted her. Also, I wanted to see more interactions with Eveline’s family as well as with Graeme’s family. Even though Graeme’s family is always there in the background, Rorie disappears as the story progresses and Graeme’s brothers aren’t fully developed.

I definitely want to read the next book in the series, even though I’m not sure if I’ll like it as much as this one.

This story was super cute and the characters were so sweet. Graeme really reminded me of Phillip from the Bridgerton series, but he was even more of a cinnamon roll. He was also a pretty intense touch-her-and-you-die hero, but I really enjoyed those aspects. Eveline was so brave and smart and determined. A truly inspirational and empowered woman figure in historical romance.

Even though a lot of this book was predictable and it really reminded me of Hunting for a Highlander by Lynsay Sands I am still giving it 4 stars. Love the hero and his brothers. And even though why she deceived her parents for three years was explained it still wasn’t realistic to me. Absolutely loved the relationship between Rory and Eveline. And I’m gonna go with a lot of the other reviewers I don’t think they should have forgiven Nora like fuck that bitch. Sorry not sorry.
