this book is a warm hug! so SOFT! so PRECIOUS! ❤️ Graeme is so protective over Eveline, which isn’t surprising because she is so darn adorable, you can’t help but love her. such a beautiful and endearing read!

I loved this book. The characters where likable and you really cared for them. I thought the plot was very well paced. There were not any slow moments in the story. The love between the main characters seemed a bit quick but that does not distract from the story. I also liked that the heroine was deaf. So we get to see how she deals with that struggle and hw it effects her world. I like when the hero or heroine have a challenge that makes them a more realistic character. I can't wait for more books in this series.

Lovely, heart-warming with great disability rep

This melted my cold, dead heart. It was sweet and wholesome and I truly felt how much these characters cared for each other. Almost made me believe in love again. Not very spicy but I don't think it needed it, (shock horror). Favourite historical romance I've read so far. Fantastic disability representation to. Hits a feminist sweet spot I had yet to find in the historical romance genre.

Favourite Historical romance ever

When feeling a reading slump coming I like to pick up a book I know I like (re-read) and this worked. I still love this book. Eveline is sweet and kind and determined and it's impossible not to love her. Graeme didn't stand a chance. He doesn't want this wedding but it's a decree from the king so he has no choice but he is kind and accommodating and fiercely protective. The representation of Eveline's hearing loss was done well and added to the story in such a meaningful way. Waiting for the last book in this series is the hill I'm gonna die on, apparently.

I love this sweet story. It’s a good book to read when you’re in a slump and want singing sweet. However, it can also be said that it isn’t very engaging and enrapturing. The characters are, but the plot itself is very simple. Graeme is such a loving considerate character. He’s definitely written by a woman.

I really liked this one. It's been awhile since I read a Highlander romance and this one was pleasantly different.
