Hot Farmer and the Lawyer

Liz has always been a rock. She’s always there for her friends and her sister, and she understands loss. When she is attacked in her home and the attacker lets her know that a disgruntled client sent her, she thinks she’s going to die. She fights like hell and although he nearly kills her, she makes it out, but he doesn’t. Taken to the
hospital, questioned, dismissed by her concerns, she calls Scott - her only friend from work as not to scare her sister. She tries to get back to normal but she’s scared, and Scott decides to take her upstate to “a house he owns.” Here we meet Silas. Scott’s sexy, but brooding twin brother...they hate each other! Someone is trying to kill Liz and she needs to be safe, so Silas put his animosity for his brother aside and takes Liz home. Scott doesn’t tell her that she and Silas are pretending to be together and they have to sell it for the small, all up in you business town. They sell it, but a little too well, what’s going to happen when she heads back to the city? I loved this book as much as I loved Haven and getting the entire Liz/Silas/Scott backstory and Mason’s intro as I read Xeni before this book. Rebekah Witherspoon is a true genius. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Where do I even begin with this. It’s not good? It’s not bad? It’s very dead set middle meh, but I had fun. I like Silas a lot actually, autistic farmers with a case of the grumpies will get me every time I guess. I wanted a submissive man and like. This kinda gave me that? I have mixed feelings on that actually because he wasn’t like super into it for being into it, but was into the woman who was into it, and I can get behind that, but just not what I thought I was getting. Also lmao murder plots in books are wild every time I didn’t like who that was wrapped up at all but I GUESS. Anyways not bad, not great, but cute nonetheless

After one of her former clients puts out a hit on her, Liz is forced to find somewhere safe to hide. Where do we find said place? With none-other than Mr. Silas(MFK) McInroy OWNER of McInroy’s Farm.

Question: Do all the books on this series start with someone dying, killing or getting killed? Cause DAMN!!!

Anyways, I LOVED this one. We’ve established that I’m trash for the McInroys, especially for Mason. This one had me losing my

Liz is a strong willed main character and Silas is a little more shy reserved. I loved watching them go head to head in the book about what they want. Nothing better than two people stuck in an odd situation falling in love and learning a lot of new things. We see both characters grow throughout the book and change. It's great. I always want to see things like this instead of having them stay static or barely grow. This is a trend for me in books though. I love character growth and emotions.
