Despite it's short length of 176 pages, this is a masterful tale. However, it isn't for the faint of heart.
The descriptions of the three murders is told in almost sickening detail. The characterizations, are very well done and spotless. The humor is very dark, but very Mello-like as well. The story has odd-ended turns, and a few very unseeable twists, and one may find themselves confused at a few points in their first or second reading.
The rereadability of this book brings to life new details that were shrouded and hidden during the first read-through, when one could not expect what would happen. The reader can uncover extra little details strategically placed, and almost so obvious one has to wonder why the characters themselves didn't notice them.
When a book can accomplish that kind of a feat, it has been written by a true and very hard-working author. A must-have for any and all Death Note fans... and highley recommended to anyone else.

This is a great read! I loved Naomi's character on the main series anime. If you want to know about her case she had with L in the past in Los Angeles, than this is a great story. I was on the edge of my seat with suspense. This book is such a delight to read that I read it in one sitting. Deathnote's world is PERFECTION.
