Personally its a nostalgia trip because I loved the anime so much and being able to see the backstory for some of the characters otherwise unknown is very interesting and it provides unique insight.
It was a nice change to read a Death Note novel instead of a manga.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I first picked up up but I instantly fell in love with the book. I love the little addition to one of my favourite Manga's, especially since the characters were extremely well written.

This book was alright but i'm glad it wasn't longer. You could really tell this book was originally Japanese. The English characters had names like Quarter Queen and Backyard Bottomslash and it was never adressed, so it was funny to me to think that the writer thought that these were normal English names.
The story itself was fun enough, the crimes were quite cruel at times and the descriptions were vivid. The main characters were decent aswell, i didn't dislike any of the characters.
I didn't really see the twist coming so that's a plus.
All in all, if you liked Death Note and you're a fan, go ahead and read this, i'm sure you won't be dissapointed. If you're like me and Death Note isn't something you're a big fan of, i wouldn't really recommend it.
