Theo and Jade were such an interesting couple. She doesn't want to be there, he doesn't believe anyone could want him. Two people thrust together in a weird situation realize they are perfect for one another. She smoothes his rough edges and he makes her feel safe. They realize that maybe no one wanted him because he was waiting for her, a human, someone who saw things differently than his people.

Well. I can’t say this is one of my favorite alien books I’ve ever read. First there’s the fact that it took 13 chapters for the main couple to have their first face to face interaction due to how much set up there was.
I feel like the aliens she ended up with were…. kinda unsympathetic to her plight. She gets kidnapped and is forced to marry an alien. Okay, fine. It’s for the plot and that’s fine. But the sister of Theo constantly gets on her high horse about how Jade needs to respect the culture which sure ! be respectful! However at the same time she was forced into this so maybe a little bit of grace might be nice ? she felt so judgy, no matter how nice she was. Also, Theo didn’t really spark much affection for me. He’s a dick to Jade for most of the book. Wah wah, how can she really have chosen me wah wah I’m going to act like an ass because I don’t trust her. It got old. I didn’t feel much connection between them because of this. Also, I def got bored towards the end of the book. I’m still willing to give the second a try in the hopes that I’ll enjoy it more.

Honestly a great quick read. Went in just for the marriage of convenience-esk feel. And the alien tatted(
scarred
dude, pleasantly surprised by how cute the main couple is. Probably won’t read it again, but did really enjoy it for what I thought it was, which was just a good short kind of smutty book

This was such a lovely book.

Theo and Jade were adorable together.

I haven’t read too many alien romance novels, but this definitely put me on to the genre.

I enjoyed the world building. It was cute Jade introduced Theo to things like kissing and spooning. Hilarious!
