Brian comes back for another survival journey, this time he's not alone. This is a much shorter book, more of a short story instead of a proper sequel to Hatchet. It's written in the same easy to read style, and it's interesting, but not nearly as satisfying. Like a fun week night adventure vs a week long vacation.

I'm wondering why no one ever told me how good these books were. I'm going to make a point of telling people how much I like this series. Great books, especially for young boys, but I really enjoyed this.

I’m enjoying my nostalgic trip through one of my favorite series I read back in middle school!

This was written better than the first, but it has a less believable main premise, it only took me a day to read it! Solid 4 stars.
