Masterfully written! Macon and Brooklyn’s relationship build was absolutely everything! Incredibly sexy, fantastic banter, and a man obsessed make The Playboy one to read ASAP!
Idk I just really couldn’t get into it.

So I decided to give it another try. I firmly it was the male narrator whose voice I’m not the biggest fan of. The story was good though. I felt like it dragged a bit too much at the beginning.

Macon is the youngest of the Spade brothers. He is known as a playboy always with a different woman nightly and never the same woman twice after his heart was broken while he was in college.
Brooklyn lives in Hawaii and she has a full time job and a college student. She was the wait of the world on her shoulders and let off a little steam she goes to the club to dance. To her dancing clears her mind of all the stress she has.
Macon was at the club for a bachelors party for his friend and sees Brooklyn across the dance floor. He immediately went to her. They ended up having a great night, but when all things were said, and done, she got up and left, never exchanging names or phone numbers. Now Macon is stalking the club for a chance to see her again which is a first for him. When he found her he convinced her to give him another chance.
I really enjoyed this book. The story line and the chemistry between the two charters were great. I couldn’t put the book down and can’t want for the next Spade Brother.

Marni Mann always delivers on that mesmerizing spice- and the new Spade Hotel series is certainly starting with some serious sizzle! The Playboy is playful and hot, full of that billionaire dazzle and lusty immediate spark attraction that make her books such deliciously seductive page turners. If you love the reformed playboy trope and a high spice story of unexpected falling with just the right dash of angst and swoon, Marni delivers with The Playboy.
Brooklyn and Macon certainly have some epic chemistry. The physical desire can't be denied, even if these two are completely opposite in all ways but one-neither are looking for any attachments. Macon's baggage has warped him into a alphahole, at times arrogant, and completely detached bachelor. Until he meets the alluring Brooklyn, the one woman who doesn't want him and he's going to have to WORK to get. As their passionate connection turns into more, Macon determines to make her his, though both are going break through some real emotional barriers in each other.
Macon may start as your stereotypical billionaire playboy, but he soon evovles into a more swoon-worthy beau....and quite a devoted and accomplished bed companion (wink wink). It's fun to watch someone so set against relationships fall so quickly and devastatingly after one passionate encounter that he just can't forget- and to push against his vulnerability fear to make his intentions and heart known to a woman who isn't quite on the same page.
Brooklyn is so stoic and driven- living a radically different lifestyle than Macon in the pursuit of her professional goals and aspirations. She doesn't anticipate her one night of cutting lose would turn into something more- and she certain fights against it. And while Macon goes all in, she holds back. A lot. Their connection grows, but she doesn't confide in Macon, even while he's pursuing her so sweetly. The result is a steamy push-pull that neither can deny.
This does rely on a bit of insta-love, but more so instalust that turns into something more substantial. And the conflict is a bit of that dreaded miscommunication/lack of openness trope, but fairly quickly it's lower angst and is resolved fairly quickly. As always, the spice could melt the north pole.

3.3⭐️ this was meh. I think the only thing I liked about this book was that it had hints of the movie Blue Crush in a way. It was just kind of slightly cringy
