The artwork in this is phenomenal! As is the magic system. The storyline and characters needed a bit more work, but I am WAY too intrigued to not continue reading this series.

The art style was beautiful!
The character motivations were weak, and the story ran into the problem where if the charactera had talked for a minute there would be no more conflict.

First, I didn't realise that the edition I have isn't only the first book of the series but gather the whole series (from book 1 to book 6.)
The thing that attracts me the most is the drawings, first on the cover, but also through all the book. Everything is stunning, the colour palette, the characters, the settings.
For the plot, I was totally hooked by it. Nina's feelings are not only visible (with the drawings) but also with the writing. I was sometimes lost between reality and imagination. It's one of the best feelings as it makes everything more real. All of the plot's evolutions is surprising.
The only struggle I had was the romance side of the story. Indeed, I didn't believe in it at all.
I cannot wait to have the next part of the series.
