This is a YA novel I can get behind. At first I rolled my eyes at the characters and how quickly they fell for each other, but I grew to love the characters. Plus, this novel approaches topics that are difficult to write about and even more difficult to discuss. I applaud Niven for creating characters that are relatable and face the realistic challenges of being a teenager coping with mental illness.

Although the characters are cheesy, I loved them. I loved Finch even though he broke my heart. He felt like nobody understood him and in a sense, he was right. Even the girl he loved with his whole heart, could not make him feel whole and understood. Unfortunately, this is a feeling I resonated with. Finch was wise beyond his years and I think that he helped Violet grow into the person she was capable of being all along.

All the Bright Places was a truly touching novel that brings several relevant issues to light and left me sobbing in my bed.

my heart hurts. In so many ways. This book is everything i never knew i needed! it had been sitting on my shelf for so long and finally, i decided to pick it up. And not put it down till i finished. It was such a breeze through read & kept me turning every page. It was cheesy and cliche and fairly predictable but still left my jaw on the floor at the end.

I didn't like this book in the beginning, the first 100 pages or so.
But this shit made me cryyyyy for like half an hour.
It is friken sad man.
I don't love this book i have issues with it. I don't even know if I'd recommend it to friends.
The middle was the best part of the book. I didn't like the start or the end.
The writing was good, if the perspectives weren't some what confusing to me.
It flowed and evoked a serious emotional response (still recovering).
It sends out a deep message and makes you reflect on the way you perceive too.
Overall I'd say a 3.5.

random change:
idk why tf i rated this 4. i actually didnt like this book that much. but whatever 3 seems alright.
