Craven Manor is the first book by Darcy Coates that I have read and it helped me become a fan of her as an author. I would describe this book as "cozy" horror.

The story follows Daniel, who accepts a mysterious job offer as a gardener at the eerie and abandoned Craven Manor. What starts as just a job quickly turns into a nightmare as he uncovers the manor's dark past.

Darcy masterfully creates a creepy and chilling atmosphere, and uses her talents to give vivid descriptions that made me feel like I was there wandering the property of Craven Manor with Daniel. He is a relatable protagonist, and I admired his determination to uncover the truth, despite the terrifying encounters.

The plot is well-paced, with plenty of suspense. I couldn’t put it down and I kept wanting to know what would happen next. If you enjoy horror with a supernatural twist, Craven Manor is a must-read for you.

I loved this book in true Coates fashion. The story was fast paced, unpredictable and enjoyable
