I overall enjoyed this! I’ve become a Darcy Coates fan recently. If you are looking for spooky reads, she has sooo many books!
I really like this author’s writing, it’s easy to read and keeps you wanting to keep turning pages!
I read this after the Carrow haunt, and I will say I liked that one better than this. This one was still fun, I read it in one day so I was invested in the story and it was a shorter book. I think it was the perfect length of a book.
I have never read anything like this before as it went in a different direction. Best I can describe without spoilers is it felt like I was watching an episode of supernatural?! Not completely sure how I feel about it all, but it was still a fun ride and worth the 4 stars!

This is my favorite Darcy Coates so far. I loved Daniel’s character. He was adorable and so kind.
In Craven Manor, you will meet Daniel. He was a pretty interesting character. Or maybe a very determined guy. He doesn't want to be homeless ever again so he kind of just sucks it up and tries to keep his job. I, however, would definitely ditch this job once I had like a red flag or two about the place. Mostly because I've seen all the Conjuring movies and mannn, I would not be in ANY of those houses after a creepy sound or crash in ANY room.
It could just be me though.
Other than that, I was kind of hoping that this book would be more thriller-like. I like the supernatural elements but I was never really scared of what was happening. Maybe I'm immune with all the movies I've watch or something? Or maybe I just need the perfect creepy book to come my way and scare the shit out of me.
