An unusual story that will linger long after the train has departed. I found myself invested in everyone’s story and the mystery’s of the wastelands.

I think I struggled as I was so much more interested in the fantasy and world building elements of what was happening to the wastelands and why there were these changes that I wasn’t paying very much attention to the actual character motivations or stories, just waiting for them to finish so we could find out more about the train.

Sometimes you start a book and know from the first page that you’re going to enjoy it. This was my experience with this book, and I wasn’t disappointed! Creepy, eerie, atmospheric, and full of eldritch horror…I had a great time!
