Adorable! This was book one in a series that I will definitely continue reading.
Jackie is a brilliant NASA engineer but is clueless about men and is sometimes awkward in social settings. Hence her co-worker blackmailing her into "Operation Social Life". Flynn specializes in restoring vintage muscle cars in his own shop but comes from a very rich ranching family.
Things start off rocky with Flynn basically yelling at Jackie and throwing her out of his home, but soon engines are firing on all four cylinders. Not everything cruises along smoothly, there are twists and turns in their relationship along the way. The characters were well written and had good growth/development.
I listened to the audiobook and there were a few times when Flynn called Jackie "Darlin'" that I thought a bit cheesy (I don't mind some cheese every now and then though). And, the thing with Flynn's brother made me do a double take.
There was spice, as to be expected from a book cover like that! It was well written and didn't detract from the plot or growth of the characters. On my pepper scale I would give it a 5 pepper:

Darling
I stinkin’ love this book!
First of all, I wish I was half as smart as Jackie Darling Lee! What a character she is- all awkward and adorable. Sigh.

I was able to grab this for free when it was on sale, but the series is on KU, I was hoping for something a bit cutest. Maybe, but honestly, this book was so much better than I first anticipated. It was freaking AWESOME.
This author is new to me, this being my first read, and It was so enjoyable.
I absolutely ADORE this type of heroine, Jackie was so precious, so smart and capable, pretty, but she has absolutely no idea of her own allure. She's been bullied in her past, and it's made her lose self-esteem. She doesn't think she's a badass, but she freaking is.
I loved all the little moments when she was so genuinely confused or super factual when guys flirted with her or when Flynn tried to get to know her.
I liked Flynn a lot as well. He was a bit grumpy but also... not
