Was hesitant to start one of David Baldacci’s books because I wasn’t sure if they’d be my cup of tea, but my family members seem to like them so I thought I’d give them a try. Much better than I expected! I’m usually not into military fiction and action, but somehow this story even had me entertained and on the edge of my seat! Definitely interested to try out some of his other series

I thought I'd give this a chance, even after some of the reviews. I've read the Baldacci books that focus on Amos Decker and really enjoyed those. This one... Not so much.

It was just a bit... Plain. Puller is one dimensional and I didn't really care about the plot. In fact, around halfway through I forgot what the plot actually was.

It wasn't awful, it was just a bit biege.

You move through the story with John Puller. Yes, they give you all the clues, but .... I didn't get all the connections when they occurred.

Will read more of this character

Another fun, fast-paced thriller. Listened to the audio on the this one and production quality adds quite a bit to the experience.

Enjoyed the story line. Can't wait to learn more about main character John Puller, Jr. as the series moves on. Unlike some of Baldacci's main characters, he is not completely revealed in this first book.
