"What is a poem after all if not a safe space for a difficult truth"-- The Raven in The Fall of the House of Usher tv series...this book is lyrical and while each poem may be based around the same topic of growing and moving forward they all connect quite beautifully to each other to create a mournful keen to remind you that you can grow and remain in and beyond heartbreak and hurt.
Actual rating: 1.75
+1: concept; I really liked the concepts behind these poems, and it was cool that they were told from both sex's points of view
+0.5: content; it was a difficult read for me personally, but sometimes that's needed
+0.25: fourth wall break; I liked that bit at the end
-1.5: formatting; I could not get over the fact that this was printed in courier new. maybe if it looked more like a typewriter font, which is what I think Sin was trying to achieve, but this just didn't vibe with me. The all lowercase doesn't go as well in that font
-1; structure; I wasn't a huge fan of how a lot of these poems were structured, because a lot of them were between two and five lines, or only had a few words per line. I just felt unsatisfied.
-1.5: pacing; I had to keep putting this book down because I would just get tired of these poems... I'm not sure if it was this collection specifically or just because I read two of Rupi Kaur's books before this, but hopefully I won't feel this way during the next collection of Sin's I read

so many untold stories
in every cemetery

I thought R.H. Sin would at least expand to more themes, but alas, this edition still remains as crude and basic as the other collections. I understand the appeal, I do—but this continued take on it is not appealing in the way poetry ought to be.
