This book was a complete disaster.
The only reason you could call it poetry is because it appears to be so on the surface. However, three-quarters of the book is made up of phrases that have been chopped out to seem like poems. Poems that are hollow, shallow, and repetitious.

With the exception of a few poems that had the potential to be legitimate poetry, if and only if they were thought about and reflected on in more depth. The remainder appeared to be filler, consisting of 2-3 line phrases that lacked sincerity and were written with a paucity of expertise. It dishearteningly reminded me of instagram quotes..

Furthermore, the more you go into the book and read, the more mind-numbing it becomes. The author, if you can call him that, lacks ingenuity and continuously rewrites previous works in a more simple and plain manner.
Simplicity, when employed correctly, may be advantageous. However there is no beauty in the simplicity offered. The structure that is supposed to enhance poetry is completely abandoned in favor of a stylistic clone.

All in all, as I’d rather get it over with and forget about this book, it was so dreadful that I began to assume it was done on purpose, and that this book was just a botched attempt at pataphysical poetry.
I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or impressed by how terrible it is.

I didn’t mean to read this in one sitting but I could not put it down last night! Seriously R.H. Sin touches your soul with everything in these pages. Thank you for writing and thank you for sharing with all of us.

This is my third reread and the more I read it the more I find problems within it. It’s so repetitive and boring bc of that. So dark and depressing. Definitely relatable. But found the author sexist, almost misogynistic. There were plenty of poems I did like and will be sharing on my booksta (same name as this account) though. Also tried to mark all the content warnings I could think of

There were maybe 5 pages I related to and the rest were a miss for me. However I do feel like this book is perfect for the right person that is why I’m giving this a 3 instead of a 1.
