i surprisingly enjoyed this and think there is a lot of commentary here on societal expectations rooted in gender norms. naturally it was a bit cringey at times with the constant calling each other “alpha” and “brother” but c’est la vie you know.

This book had the issue where the MMCs all seemed like the same person despite each getting their own POV chapters. The pacing also felt a little off. Some things happened overly fast and some were dragging. Also, it irrationally bothered me that the Beta, Sy, was described as having a beard but his character art doesn’t have one. Will I still read other books by this author or in this series though? Probably yes.
