I finished this book a while ago but I didn't have a chance to review it.
Since the very first book in this series I was dying for a novel about Torin, so when the Darkest Touch came out I was so excited that I ran out and bought it. It was a good book, well written with good characters and story plot. I really enjoyed it. I think my problem was personal, because I had been wishing for a book about Torin for so long I had a different idea about how it would go. That being said, it was really good and I do not regret buying the book!

Unfortunately my least favorite book of the bunch so far, and I loved Torin in all the other books. The on again off again thing was a real turn off , just make up your fucking mind and stick to it for god's sake!!

For centuries Torin has not known the touch of another person without then facing their deaths. No matter who he touches he spreads disease so he knows that no matter how attracted he is to Keeley, the Red Queen, he must leave her for her own safety. But Keeley doesn't know the word 'no'. She may have started with nothing but anger towards Torin the longer the spend together the more she can see the heart of vulnerability of the man beneath the warrior. As they spend more and more time together Torin's resolve begins to weaken but with ever stolen touch Keeley's life could possible hang in the balance. Can the warrior who's never known a woman's touch finally find the woman who can live with his caress? Loved reading Torin's HEA because he's been such a part of the other's stories until now. Because this is a long standing series I do not recommend picking up with this book because there are ongoing plot lines and repeating characters so it could be confusing. But as a long time fan of the Lords of the Underworld series it was another great read!

The Darkest Touch is book eleven in the Lords of the Underworld series by Gena Showalter. I have been waiting to see what the author would do for Torin since he was introduced to us in book one [b:The Darkest Night|476543|The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1)|Gena Showalter|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1322237965s/476543.jpg|464779] and she did not disappoint.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Darkest Touch. How can a relationship work when Torin is the keeper of disease? I was quit curious on how the author would be able to give Torin a relationship. I was expecting one thing and got something altogether different. I am not disappoint just suppressed in how she handled Torin our tortured hero, the skin-to-skin relationship, and the woman who became his destiny. Keeley, The Red Queen, is his perfect match and oh boy does she have the strength and power to help Torin heal emotionally and save his friends along the way. Their passion, chemistry and relationship burned up the pages. We get a well written scorching hot romance. I enjoyed the side stories and can’t wait to see what Gena Showalter has in store for us next. We get adventure, action, loads of sexual tension, a relationship that needs a lot of work to make it work, and some big surprises along the way.
The Darkest Touch was a great installment in the Lords of the Underworld and I am looking forward to the next installment. This is one of a few favorites that keeps getting better as it goes along. I highly recommend picking up the Lords of the Underworld.
