I read this 10 years ago and knew I was time for a reread. As soon as I finished, I started again with my trusty yellow sharpie. This book should be required reading for everyone.

Forever a Brené stan. I read this while listening to her 6 week podcast series with her sisters and I really enjoyed it!

I thought this was cute! This comes off of reading another “self help” book that was really disappointing. I loved all of her real life examples.

The way Briwn writes and shares personal stories has always resonated with me. This book got a lower review because she states that spirituality involves some sort of something that is greater than us and uses a lot of religious language. I’m not sure exactly what she means - but I don’t believe in a higher power or something that is greater than us. I read “us” as all of us and to me connection with people and nature is meaningful and spiritual for me and there’s no greater power than that. A day in nature for me is spiritual.

Cool read. I couldn't get into it (mainly due to my own circumstances) but I think I got the main idea.
