Tropes/Themes:
-MF contemporary romance
-Sports romance (F1 racing)
-Fake dating
-Disability rep (MMC’s leg was amputated after a racing accident)
-Dual POV
-Book #4 in an interconnected standalone series
I was really enjoying this up until the 3rd act…I absolutely despise the overdramatic “you lied to me” conflict that results in unnecessary groveling. But I loved Sebastian and his character development, so at least there’s that.
CWs for miscarriage (side character), neglectful/absentee parent, substance abuse
Story: 2/5
Audiobook: 5/5 (narrated by Desiree Ketchum & Hector Carrillo)
Length 12h54min

Really cute and I think it was a great way to finish the series. I’m glad I finally finished the series. I love Lauren Asher’s books and can’t wait to keep reading her books! 🩷

I'm glad I'm done with this series because all of the characters annoyed me but I'm also sad it's over because now I have to find another crappy romance series to listen to

I liked this a lot- I devoured it, but for me it was a bit too long and by the end I didn’t love Chloe. There was just something about her that rubbed me wrong after their problem arose, I didn’t think her reaction to that particular thing, while overlooking something else, was justified and it felt as though she was using Santi by the end. I wish he had stood up for himself more and wasn’t so willing to disregard everything to win her back.
