I really like how many characters in Alice‘s books are aware of any unfair judgement/thoughts they’re having. They still feel that way & no one’s invalidating that; but they acknowledge when they’re being unfair and then try to deal with their feelings. 
For example when Charlie says Nick is right to be excited about going to uni, and he knows he shouldn’t resent that, but that’s how he feels nonetheless.

In general, I think her books are great examples for YA stories with a good mixture of immaturity/relatability/honesty and maturity/accountability/character growth

This was focused a bit more on troubles and problems in Nick's and Charlie's relationship, but it was still so heartwarming and hopeful. It felt authentic and fitting.

Wahhhh I love these boys so much!! I’m not quite sure where it fits in the chronology of Heartstopper, but it was a beautiful story either way: full of the same adorable romance that I’ve come to expect from Oseman.
