I really wanted to like this and for the most part, I did. But the FMC was TSTL and though that was explained, it didn't make her behavior any less irritating. I will say that the author did a great job hinting at and building up to the reason why the FMC's behavior seemed so averse to living but it just didn't do it for me. The writing was good and the plot was enjoyable when Rae wasn't blundering through the world with the danger awareness of the world's most determined suicidal lemming. I'll definitely continue the series but this book was pretty eh for me.

Her Soul to Take, is an excellent read. This is probably one of my favorite reads for the month. Who would have thought that I would love a demon. Leon is more than just a demon, he is a protector and he looks hot while doing it. He would literally burn the world down for Rae and who doesn't want that.
