Okay now that I have time - review incoming! Lol.
I'll say it again - Powerless wishes it was the Crimson Moth!! Not to be harsh... but it's the TRUTH!
This duology was great, but I'm taking off a star because I actually wish it was a trilogy?! The ending was epic but I wanted the world building and side characters to be fleshed out more before Ms. Kristen ended the series :'(
The romance between Gid Gid and Rune Rune was lit though lol.

I enjoyed this book, however after about halfway through the will they-won’t they & back and forth became too much for me. Also i feel like Rune is supposed to be the badass Crimson Moth but when she should’ve been able to come to obvious conclusions she wasn’t able to, and her having a vision/being a sibyl was barely mentioned & i feel like that should’ve been explored deeper. I feel like maybe a trilogy could’ve served this series better than being a duopoly imo. Parts could’ve been expanded on and i feel like the overtaking of Cressida was super condensed & just kinda underwhelming. But i did have a great time while reading & found the book to be very entertaining. :)

The second part of the Crimson Moth duology. Not my favorite duology, but it wasn’t bad. Usually the second book builds and is stronger than Book 1 because of the bond you’ve already built with the characters, but I didn’t really feel that. The plot felt more predictable with one twist I didn’t see. Still a good duo, but there are better ones IMO.
