Cute Christmas romance with the prickly boss!

-M/F
-enemies to lovers
-no cheating
-HEA
-"office romance"
-fake relationship

This was a super cute quick read. Took me about 2 hours to read. Had some laugh out loud moments, the steam was perfect, and the ending was sweet. Not a lot of angst, just an easy flowing story that was pretty hot. Perfect book to cleanse my palate on. I've been reading lots of dark romances/bully romances, so this was perfect to give me a break from the heaviness of those books.

Id be interested to read more from this author.

Kate is having a particularly bad day with her car breaking down, her boss Damon calling her and chewing her ear off before she can explain why she is running late. Giving her 10 minutes to get into work before she is fired results in a taxi ride using all her available cash and a leaking coffee pot. She faces off with her boss who simply tells her to clean up and get the reports for the meeting. Sneaking out at lunch to get her car to a garage, she finds that it has been towed and needs to be collected by 5pm to get it to the garage before her trip home to Christmas.

Damon fell for Kate approx. 15 minutes into her interview when she called him arrogant. That was three years ago and he has adopted the mean approach to mask his true feelings towards her. Seeing her in the bar after a bad day she is already buzzed when she starts ordering double shots. Finding out just how much he ruined her day and how she is stuck in Chicago for the holidays due to her car problems. Agreeing to take her home he ends up inviting himself to stay – especially when he finds out her potentially cheating ex will be there with his new girlfriend.

A push and pull festive romance with the fake date, getting on an ex as well as discovering more about yourself along the way. But it’s all just a fake holiday fling – right?

This is such a brilliant read love hate read.
Damon is the boss from hell and Kate isn't sure she can take much especially when his actions could cause her to miss Christmas at home with her family.
When he offers to take her home and pretend to be her boyfriend will she go through with it.
When feelings start to change can she believe that he really has feelings for her.
So much drama and plenty of emotion but can they get their HEA.
Loved the ending.

Damon is Kate's asshole boss and when her car breaks down and she can't get to the office in time he doesn't even let her explain and just demands her there in twenty minutes of he'll fire her. Then later he tells her she can not leave early so she is unable to get her car from the tow yard. When he finds out later that he prevented her from getting home he offers to take her home. Not having much of a choice she tells her parents that she is coming home with 'a friend' for Christmas and her family assumes that Damon is her boyfriend. Instead of correcting them Damon goes with it saying he and Kate are in a relationship.
He helps her when he discovers her ex is still close with her family and has lied and told her family that she cheated on him when he in fact is the one that cheated on her. He pretends to propose and the two of them are now fake engaged. They grow closer and sleep together and Kate assumes it's just Damon faking that they are together and he doesn't care about her for real. She finally tells her family the truth and thinks that things will go back to the way they were before the trip but Damon still wants to be with her and when he tells her he loves her and proves it to her by telling her about his past and she finally admits she wants to be with him and they get their Happily Ever After.

This was a cute Christmas book. I love that Damon made up for being an asshole boss the last three years to Kate and the two of them were able to forgive and forget and admit their feelings for one another. I hated Chad and was glad that Kate's family learned the truth about her ex and took Kate's side finally. The steaminess of this book was perfect and the romance was adorable. I definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for a fun and steamy holiday read.

This book is everything you want your Christmas romcom to be: fun, funny, sexy, and utterly delectable. From the first pages, I was into the characters and the storyline.

A Very Bossy Christmas is the tale of how two people that seemingly can’t stand each other find that their great dislike for one another may not be dislike after all. Damon Fitzgerald is Kate Flowers’ demanding jerk of a boss, but Kate gives as good as she gets and doesn’t hesitate to put him in his place. At the start, Kate’s car breaks down and is impounded, and she needs to make it home for Christmas. After a hellish day that’s partially Damon’s fault, she goes out for a drink, and he winds up at the same bar. As the liquor flows, Kate divulges her problems of having no car and a horrible ex that has infiltrated her family, and it’s very drunkenly decided that Damon will help her out. By the next morning, Kate has both a hangover and morning-after amnesia when Damon comes to pick her up for the long drive to Kate’s family’s home. He insists, which results in hilarity, and from there they navigate this situation that they’ve gotten themselves into with so much humor and sexiness.

I loved the premise of this story. It’s like a sexy Hallmark movie. It has all the sweetness and playfulness but with plenty of steaminess to it. And what I like so much about that? It’s interspersed throughout the story. I don’t think I ever felt like the story was lacking or like I was waiting on something to happen. It all played out the way it needed to and when it needed to.

Something else I enjoyed about this book was all the detail. From those first pages, I could feel how Kate felt and imagine how the events unfolded in such vivid detail. Kate’s car getting towed in Chicago in the winter? While I know that exact feeling (I too have been towed in Chicago in the bitter winter), the way it’s written you can just feel Kate’s exasperation and desperation. The character details Winter gives are written in such a way that you become immersed in them. Don’t worry though. It’s not so much detail that you’re wondering when she’ll get to the point.

This is the perfect book if you’re looking for a sexy Christmas romcom that will have you equally laughing and swooning.

Enemies to lovers, office romance, Christmas, grumpy boss, fake relationships= all thing I enjoy!

I really enjoyed this book. I'm a sucker for a holiday romance. I do wish Damon's backstory was a little more fleshed out so we could have a better understanding of his issue with Christmas. But overall it was cute and enjoyable!

Loved

You know, I used to absolutely abhor Christmas stories, I found them to be too cheesy and sweet.

This one was fantastic, I loved the enemies to lovers trope. I can’t wait to read more Christmas stories.
