A lovely and inspiring book for early-career therapists, regardless of modality.

This book was inspiring as hell and a must-read for anyone, not just therapists I think. Having many short chapters made this book really accessible, and gave me a lot of context to consider. I think this book will help many folks embrace relationships and personal impact as a form of change over advice and pushing, build curiosity for all forms of healing, and create a greater internal sense for the "here and now." There were a few parts that I was less convinced about, namely the section on dreams , but I liked that this book challenged my thinking, and it built a compelling bridge between the genesis of psychoanalysis to Neo-Freudianism.
