Wow. This book was delectable to consume. The pace was perfect. The characters intriguing, real, with plenty of chemistry. A little bit of mystery was peppered in to keep the reader wondering. And there was plenty of spice in the bedroom. Aye, this may be one of my favorite Meredith Wild's books. I really enjoyed Kase and June's story.

I loved Kase & June's story. With all the secrets being held from June about her mom it never changed her love for Kase. This was truly wonderful story.
I usually really enjoy Meredith Wild books, but this one I felt like I've totally read before but looking back through all my read books from this author I didn't see it. Must be a similar story somewhere. This was my first in the Misadventures series, and I'll be giving them another try.
June Bell and Kase McCasker shared a stolen moment as teenagers that left them both wanting more. The pull of attraction between them has been overshadowed by her father's desire to take the McCasker farm land and incorporate it into his hotel and resort. Kase is willing to make a deal though. His deal will place June within arm's reach, but it just may force him to give up the only home he's ever really known.
I definitely enjoyed this newest title in the "Misadventures" series. If you like a steamy quick read and HEAs, this one is worth your time. Meredith Wild remains one of my favorites.

When I read throwaway romance I want to suspend disbelief -- I do not want to keep repeating "but why?" Everything both principals did was mystifying from the beginning of the set-up. He thought she was too good for him, and also knew a stupid old secret about their families he did not want to tell her, so he ditched her after making out with her once in high school. (Of course they are both ruined for everyone else after that.) Then he comes back after college where he has learned much and has banged everything that moves while she has been hermetically sealed sexually and educationally. The rest makes as much sense as that beginning.

The title might be a tiny bit deceiving, but the story does include plenty of adventures or is it misadventures for Miss June. Her time is spent with longtime friend & crush, Kase. They have plenty of time to work out the details, but the small town of Falls Edge will gossip all about it.
I grew-up in a small town and could easily relate. Budding romances, feuds between families and expansions creeping into land by bigger business are all part of the charm. Meredith Wild describes all the intensity of the couple and their relationship.
My favorite quote from the story is:
"His words are poetry written on my body, inked into my psyche, carved into new desires I never knew I possessed."
If you're looking for a good romance story filled with small town charm, angst, passionate heat & a happy ending, this is the book to choose.
