Four Blind Mice

Moves fast but sometimes things don't make sense. Like... A shoot out in the woods in which 6 are killed and the 2 survivors are injured, and two paragraphs later they're back at home all honkey dorey. Patterson loves to stick in details, but only when they don't relate to the plot. But still, this book is what I wanted: fast, mindless, easy.

This is the 8th book in the series and I've been reading them in order and pretty quickly. Obviously a bit of a cheesy, thriller novel, but I can't stop reading. The short chapters are nice as its easy to pick up where you left off. I liked this one more than some of the other ones, although there is still violence in it, it less detailed and twisted than some of the other ones.

Book #17 read in 2005

I alternated between reading and listening to this book. I am a big Patterson fan and this book was a definite improvement over his last book. I am glad to see he got away from the vampire / warewolf themes. I look forward to his next in the Cross series.

This felt way too similar to his most recent book I read...

I found this uninteresting and bland.

Best part was the romantic jazz music that plays during the sex scenes. I was rolling while I listened to those scenes

Four Blind Mice (Alex Cross Series Book #8) by James Patterson.
Part of my 2021 reading challenge- a favourite series of mine. Have read it several times now and enjoy it every time.

Sometimes you just want a “comfort read”. One that you know will grab your interest right away and keep it. James Patterson’s Alex Cross series is always a good go to for me.
Tender moments with Nana mama & the kids to tense moments when the killer(s) are gaining ground and putting Alex’s life at risk.
You’ll get a little more of Sampson’s story in this one too and that’s a good thing. I love that guy!

I love the way James Patterson writes, especially the quick short chapters that get you reading just one more....a great storyline, thoroughly enjoyed.
