Exciting thriller with the three killers on a mission. It's a story that has a great, intense and bloody back story, but is absolutely thrilling yet disturbing. It's another exciting story that puts Cross in the front of the Mastermind, if only just to torture himself. Cross is put in a position to decide what will happen next, and becomes more worried as things happen at home, too. A definite page-turner that puts Cross and Sampson in another precarious situation. Patterson brings Cross and Sampson to life, and Sampson even finds something he didn't realize he was looking for.

I really enjoyed this book! I loved the military background it was a new experience for the Alex Cross series. I also really enjoyed the romance in this novel it wasn't as predictable it was more delicate then in the previous books! Keep them coming Mr. Patterson!

There were several times in this book I was so nervous I had to stop reading. James Patterson is very good at inciting anxiety. It’s always fascinating watching Alex Cross’ mind work.

I needed a mental break and this fit the bill. Not my favorite Alex Cross, but well done. I love John Sampson and liked that we see him a lot in this book.
