This gave me Ted Lasso vibes in the best way. I had requested this on netgalley without knowing it was part of a series so now I have to go read the rest of these! I love a good grumpy/sunshine dynamic and Oliver and Gavin were perfect together. This book also had a great discussion about being ready to be in a relationship and giving people grace and accepting their flaws. Overall a fast and fun read.

this book in particular contained the MOST updates about the previous couples, ever. Like from the very beginning you get new things that i have been dying to happen from like book 3, iykyk.

as for these two, idk what my feelings are, really. I feel the plot was a bit too plotting for my taste, i wanted more scenes between them instead of the talk about football and all that.
also the love interest’s jealousy of oliver kinda of annoyed me ngl, i mean i understood where he was coming from but it felt repetitive or without an end result.

I wouldn’t say skip this book, as i really fucking loved those updates and seeing my big family <333!

My first gay romance read! I’ve really enjoyed this Bergman Brothers (and a couple sisters!) series so far, so being introduced to the MC already from the previous books was helpful and an instant draw into the story. It was a joy to finally read about this Bergman brother and his love story. As a cisgender woman reading this book, I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed this romcom (and it’s steamy parts too)!

I learned a little about the life, its joys and challenges, of being a gay man in today’s world and I appreciated the journey the author took me on. It opened my eyes to a new worldview, which I appreciate.

I love that we got a queer Bergman brother! Unfortunately, I couldn't fully get into their relationship dynamic and timeline in the same way that I could the other book in this series. I did appreciate the lens of the main character being in chronic pain though since it was the first portrayal of that narrative that I have read in a contemporary romance novel!
