The author’s writing style doesn’t resonate with me.
Not my favorite Shari Lapena piece. It drug on and took a while to get to the climax of the book. The end was surprising. The last page and a half was the most surprising of all.

I liked everything about this, until the ending but felt rushed and incomplete. I liked the story, setting, characters, all that, but it lost me at the end.
I love Shari Lapena’s books. They’re quick reads and keep you guessing until the end. This one reminded me of Clue. I found myself becoming a detective, trying to solve each murder. This is my favorite Lapena book yet!
