This was a great book about a young girl who suffered from a brain injury. She was involved in an accident. After the accident, her aunt took her in and took care her. They went through so much in one year. The young girl, Emma, recovered and started school a year after her accident. And then twenty-one years later, she got her dream job as a neurologist who deals with children who have brain injuries. Her aunt found love with someone who was so great to both her and Emma. The story ended on a high note. From stories like this, you learn that anything is possible. No one is limited because of their setbacks. As long as you believe and work hard for what you want, you can achieve anything. Great story! I recommend this book to anyone who wants to be inspired.

I’ve never read a Danielle Steel novel before, but after reading this I’m sure it pick up another. I’m not a huge fan of third person narrative but it works perfectly for this book, as you are able to get to know the characters from an unbiased stand-point. This story was very different from anything I’ve read before. I really enjoyed reading about Emma’s story as she recovered from something so damaging, and how Whitney helped her to piece her life back together. I found the explanations for Emma’s condition to be rather repetitive at times, which would definitely come down to nitpicking the storyline. Some of the conversations with the doctors didn’t really sound professional, however this isn’t something I would criticize her for as she isn’t a medical doctor. Overall this was a substantial story of a young girl learning to function in daily life again after experiencing such a traumatic event. I loved seeing the relationship between Emma and Whitney progress, as well as the relationship between Whitney and Bailey.

3.5⭐️ rounded down. It’s been decades since I’ve read a Danielle Steel book, and it was about what I expected. The story was predictable, like a Lifetime movie, and the writing was pretty repetitive. I rounded down because I thought the epilogue where everything works out perfectly was super unnecessary and cliche.
