I loved the first two, this one felt rushed.

Got around 10% in and could not keep reading. Just felt tedious. So much time was spent describing unnecessary details

3.5 rounded down - this was hard to follow and could have been far shorter. It might have been easier if I had read book 2 more recently; I had a hard time remembering who was who and what had happened to them previously. The narration style was rambling and I got bored. Still, I wanted to finish the series and there are elements of the story I really love.

This was such a good conclusion to the trilogy. The letter from Mr. Holmes and voice memo from Letha made me cry like a baby.

I thought that the obsession Jade feels with the horror genre along with her acknowledgement that native people are not included except for the Shining was great. I enjoyed seeing Jade as a history teacher and her care for her students. It felt like we came full circle from the first book to the ending.
