It was really really good the narrative is different it's more focused on emotional subjects and I am so here for it. I am flabbergasted by the hand and can't wait to continue my HOO readathon
Percy's voice narrating the books is notable. Multiple POVs and third-person narration made the characters harder to connect to than in PJO. Jason's amnesia made him a frustrating, nothing character when he wasn't being helpful to the reader.
Why is Jason, the sole white boy in this trio made the leader, when he is the most uninteresting character in existence? Why is he stronger than Thalia? Leo has so much machismo to work through and Piper so much internalized misogyny — these would be fascinating if it was addressed in this series, but alas, it was just poor character writing.

The Lost Hero is the beginning of a crossover between Greek and Roman mythology and I absolutely love it. The parallels are evident and it's follows with the development in relationships between characters and new characters which I'm dying to read and meet again. Thank you Rick for these amazing stories
