Jason is *not* a likeable character and this book moved *so* slow compared to the others in the series. I found myself liking Piper and Leo so much more and they helped me get through the book. I definitely don't think this needed to be as long as it was and it took forever to get to the interesting parts of the story. That being said, once stuff started becoming more clear, this book became a lot more fun and I enjoyed it as much as the others. Still think Jason is boring af, nor do I really care what happens to him.

i love these goons!!! they get a bad rep and for what!!!!!

WHO TF IS JASON? Jason is a more serious version of Percy.

The way i kept uncovering the plot before it even being revealed in the book omg....the R in my name stands for Rick Riordan!!!!

Quite lengthy compared to the rest of the books I've read so far, but I quite enjoyed it and the roman aspects of the story! Demi-gods really cant even rest for a bit!!

I wasn't sure if I would like this series or not as it focuses on a different batch of demigods, but so far I probably like it more than the Percy Jackson series! Definitely has a more middle-grade vibe and Riordan does a great job of switching back and forth from three characters perspectives.

Another fun ride from Rick Riordan! I'm really liking the new main characters, and am looking forward to seeing how things go.

Once again this book/series is shaping up to be quest-oriented, which works well in keeping with the way that Greek mythology unfolds. It keeps things moving, and everything leads to something else that must happen to continue the chain, or the quest would all fall apart.

It's also nice to get the opportunity to really get the chance to know more about other demigod children that aren't from the Big Three, such as the children of Aphrodite and Hephaestus. Let's just say that French and fire are very good things :)
