Sorry but this book is getting a lower rating compared to when I first rated it. I liked it but honestly didn't love it neither was much of this memorable in the whole large scheme of things (evident from not remembering almost every single thing despite reading this series once before)

I like getting to see different POVs as we have more complex characters but there's just something about the 3rd person POV that I just can't seem to get into.

I really liked Leo in this book way more than when I read it through the first time.

It's just sad that Piper has to endure this shame of thinking she knows Jason.

So the Hephestus cabin excavated the tunnels under their cabin??

So what happens if he were to actually destroy the imperial gold sword?

Medea was an interesting character. So she killed her and Jason the First's kids to get back at him. And saw the future of the seven and decided to prompt Gaia to kill Leo? And she charmspoke Piper's dad's assistant to capture him

Minos (?) with donkey ears and having the golden touch and telling Piper not everything is a story is just interesting.

So many looking for Percy but are there people searching for Jason?

I really missed Percy and Annabeth in this, so I guess it made this book more of a 4.5 stars kind of thing.
But WOW. I was so entertained and flew through this book - it did not feel over 500 pages at all! Rick Riordan is awesome because he always manages to make fantasy seem more like a contemporary, if you know what I mean. It's not heavy at all!
I'm SO curious to learn more about the Roman aspect of the gods and I legit cannot wait to read the second one! (If only bookdepository would hurry and get it to me...)

After the main series this book feels like a step back. Not as solid, not as fun, just a bit less. Hopefully it's just because it's setting up the plot for this series and the rest are better.

the fact that percy jackson was not mentioned in the book was quite disappointing. nevertheless, the emergence of new heroes which have very awesome god-like powers were utterly incredible. awesome as it is, i think Riordan has done a great job writing this. A great book indeed.

Leo Valdez babyyy u were the love of my lifeeee woahhhhhh

I loved this book. It was a great opening to a new series. It still had same characters so you can relate to the story if you read the previous series. I like to see where this goes.
