This was so good! Def took a while to get through, but that's okay! I think some of it bc it was so clouded in mystery for most of the book about what was going on i was just a bit confused or just wanting it to explain shit already lol. But the end result was worth it and i am excited to get to the next books. I also really ended up loving the characters especially Leo, he has my heart <3

I enjoyed getting to know some new characters in Percy Jackson's world. Jason, Piper, and Leo are a very well balanced team, and I can't wait to continue getting to know them. With this said, however, I had a few little problems with the over all writing of the book that kept me from truly loving it. The way the author wrote it, every two chapters we get a different perspective, first Jason, then Piper, and then Leo. The problem I had with this book was the many flash backs, and the chunks of the chapters when nothing happened but the person reflected on their feelings. This would have been fine if each character only did it once or twice, but it happened again, and again. This made it a little slower, and I think the author did it to fill in parts between characters. I think why I loved Percy Jackson so much was the first person perspective, but we don't get that in this book. Anyway, I did really love the characters, and the ending was satisfying to me. The Roman side of mythology isn't something I'm familiar with so that's going to be very interesting. Like I said, I can't wait to continue!
