This book is the second book in the Robert Hunter series. I absolutely loved it, it was so gruesome and gory, most definitely not for the squeamish! So if that is something that you like, I recommend this one.

Robert Hunter is such a good character and along with his partner Carlos Garcia, I love the friendship between them.

With short chapters I found this hard to put down, especially when the chapters ended on a cliffhanger and I needed to read one or two more to find out what was happening.

This series is fast becoming a favourite. I’m looking forward to reading book three.

Thank you to Compulsive Readers for having me on the Blogathon and to the publisher for my gifted ebook.

One of the best thrillers I’ve recently read. Could not put it down.

Overview: This is the second book by Chris Carter in the Robert Hunter series. I devoured this book! Oh wow it was so graphic and disgusting and gory and...amazing! The chapters are so short that it makes the book so easy and quick to read. The plot was easy to follow too, unlike some crime thrillers I've read. I didn't see the killer coming, but it wasn't particularly shocking, but that doesn't matter. I loved the journey to get there.

Good points: I think Robert Hunter might be my new book boyfriend. Seriously. I love him. I also love his detective partner, Garcia. They have such a great friendship. Is it bad of me to say that the murders were genius? Like...they were horrific, but I found them fascinating!

Not so good points: I have nothing bad to say about this book.

I'm excited to start the third book soon, The Night Stalker and have asked my sister to buy me the rest of the books (12 in total) for Christmas. The only bad thing is I have to wait 4 months to read them!

What a riveting read - I was on the edge of my seat right from the start!  The gruesome nature of the killings, tailored to what the victims feared the most, and the hunt for the killer had me eagerly turning the pages to see how everything was linked.

This was a fast paced story - it’s well written & the chapters are short, so I never felt my attention wandering away.  There’s plenty of twists in the story that left me guessing right up to the reveal, which I loved.  I also enjoyed seeing Robert & Garcia working together, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of this.

These books are addictive & so easy to binge read - I can’t wait to start on the next in the series!
