Beautiful art style and amazing story, defiantly recommend it.

ok so this is an exceptionally short read - just 32 pages long - and yet. and yet. I just finished reading Through the Woods a while ago, and I felt "wow this is gorgeous but I was really unnerved and most of this was atmospheric story telling with scary stories that will haunt me for a while even though I'd rather forget but ultimately my goldfish memory will triumph and I will forget everything about everything." regardless. I just finished reading this. I am in love. It is short, beautiful, poetic. It is pithy. I guess I admire that the most about any story. Especially visual, seeing how in love I have been with visual storytelling anyway. I am in love with this story. I am now going to seek out this storyteller.

This was great. Emily Carroll's art style is so unique and defined, and just feels like it's meant for horror in every way. Her color palette was soft—until it wasn't. And the story? Wonderful.

I really outta pick up more of her work, I always enjoy myself.

Whaaaaaaaat. This is one of Emily Carroll's shortest works, and honestly it catapulted right up to the top of my list. Gorgeous and bloody!

Another beautiful Emily Carroll horror short story, this time with fox-like aristocrats and gristle and rhyme. Not my favorite Carroll story, as it's a bit predictable, but it's still gorgeous and haunting.

I would die for Emily Carroll

Beautiful artwork capturing those raw written words of a memorable short poetry. Highly recommend reading it!
