I am torn about this book. On the one hand, it had a decent Mars needs women premise with abduction of women by a 3rd party. I liked the spirit bonding and the relatively average FMC.
On the other hand, some of the “I am a warrior” talk from the MMC was over the top for me, often to the point of being obnoxious.
I’m hoping that the dialogue improves in the coming books. At least the spice was fun.

Spice: 3/5

Triggers: abduction, death, drugging, violence, mind control

I absolutely LOVED this alien species. Muscular Elves with fangs, camouflage skin abilities, and FREAKING EARS THAT ROTATE TO SOUNDS?!?? I. can't. even. I'm done for. Stick a fork in me. The description of these aliens is HOT.

Now, these women are pseudo double abducted, because they get abducted and then "rescued". So they are at the mercy of the rescuers on an alien planet, and all is far from perfect. We never really figure out why they crashed in the first place, but there is a background plot going on here, so be patient, my guess is that it will unfold in subsequent books.

I really loved the story in this book. The heroine pretty much runs on piss and vinegar for the first half of the book (because she needs to!) and once she's able to mellow out, the rest of the women start to freak out on her. That's to be expected when one it abducted. Everyone reacts differently. The alien males are so nice and sweet to the women, and I'm curious to see if they are all Cinnamon Rollie, or if there is an Alpha tendency that can come through the fated-mate connection, also. I'm looking forward to the new release coming up!

Not a bad start to this series. A few choppy bits in the story and I?d prefer a little more tension and relationship building between any MCs, but I thought some of the plot twists are good. I will keep reading to find some answers to questions that arose.

This book started out really strong and I was totally invested until the halfway mark. There was a lot of plot/conflict and that kept the main characters from getting to spend much quality page time together getting to know each other. I needed a little more relationship development interspersed into the story.

Oh, this one was a little rough. I liked the characters, I LOVED the plot, but the smut was not good. Thankfully this seems to have cleared up in the second book, and I'm glad I continued onto the series because there does seem to be a really interesting overall plot.
