5 Stars. I have yet to find a book by Klune that doesn’t feel like a soft, warm hug. There were such sweet and cozy feelings throughout the book, which made me feel so loved and sheltered. This book did have a similar plot arc as in Klune’s other books but Whispering Door had a unique enough world that this wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. I don’t know how he does it, but the transition from stranger to friend is so smooth that I barely notice it, and then the next thing I know, I am so invested in all of the characters that I can’t put the book down.

I found this shallow, overly sweet, and irritatingly repetitive. Also Wallace had more chemistry with Nelson then Hugh. Not for me.
