Second book is better than the first. Not much smut but it's a good story.

Good continuance of the first book. Still don't like the fact that the story just stops mid sentence, and you have to have the next book to continue.
Didn’t think this story line could get any more silly, but… it did! And like the first book, this one ~also ended on a cliffhanger, which is really annoying. That being said, on to book three! Spice level was 3 out of 5.
I am sad to give this 2 stars, mostly because I want Piper Lawson to get picked up by a big publisher and I want someone to push her to make her work even better and edit the shit out of it. I want more rockstar romances in my life.
Ok so, I think a lot of this book might not have made sense if I had not read the first in the series. I wanted things to be fleshed out more… like a lot more. I wanted the relationship between Haley and Shannon Cross to include foreshadowing and well… a relationship. That, and the ending doesn’t make sense. Without giving away spoilers, Jax’s ultimatum seems to come out of the blue. I found it unbelievable. Also, this big major thing happens with Mace but nothing ever comes of it… uh hello, what about Mace? Geeze, I hope he’s ok.
All that hat said, I’ll still read the next installment. I’m a sucker for rockstar romance.

I wanted them to be on the road. Was more interesting. The ending makes me wanna read the 3rd book. But not sure if I will dive right in..

I was a bit disappointed by the abrupt ending of this book. I'm not sure if I will be continuing the series now.
Graphic: Sexual content, Suicide attempt
Moderate: Drug abuse, Medical content, Death of parent
I enjoyed every second of the two hours that I read this book in! I read it in one sitting, again like the first book, and I just loved these characters! Everything from the first review stands. I couldn't stand Cross, but I can tell that he isn't actually that bad of a guy. He just kind of sucks.Jax is hotttt and utter vocal perfection; he says the perfect things to his girl! Haley is funny and witty and dry, and I love everything about her!
But I will say that the miscommunication in both books so far has left a bit to be desired. The first could have been righted with a quick two minute conversation. The second is more understandable, but could have been fixed if they had just sat down and talked and she has talked to him about how Cross feels about him—like a son. And that he only wants what is best for him. But that time jump at the end had me like, "WHAT????? NO!" I was very sad
