Wow, just wow. This book is everything and then some. This book perfectly protrude that true love always prevails. This book is written in three parts, one where they are 17, one where it's 5 years later, and then the last is 8 years after that.

In the first part you read about a boy (Jace) who is starting from nothing, playing his music where anyone will listen. He then gets tracked down by a group of guys that he goes to school with and they attempt to beat him up until someone (Andi) comes out of nowhere and stops them. They spend all night talking about who they are and what matters most to each other. You read about how Jace's parents showed him what true love looks like, how to fully love someone, and how to chase after your dreams. All within part one you get to see their friendship grow as well as their love for each other. You also get to see Jace's brothers fight their own demons while building their music careers. Then the worst happens, and you are left balling you eyes out for Jace and Andi.

Part two is all about Andi starting over and trying to figure out how to love again, not just herself but others as well. You see her start off as this cold and bitter woman, then by the end of this part she is this warm and forgiving person who teachers her daughter how to truly live. I will admit this part got me tearing up a few times with the multiple deaths. They way it was written and the events leading up to them had my own heart breaking.

Part three you read about Andi and Jace seeing each other again. They both realize that they never have nor will they stop loving each other. One thing I loved in this part was the way Claudia was with Jace and vice versa. They finally get their HEA.. Part three did a wonderful job of showing true love has no limits.
-----------
This book had my heart swooning, it makes the hopeless romantics wanting more. I ate this book up, from all of the love that was in the book, but also the heart break. It was hard reading about Andi growing up in a loveless home, not to mention the time reading about what Reid's father did to him. You really do see that money doesn't buy love and happiness. This book was very well written. It did start off slow at the beginning, but it was needed so we got to see how all of the characters developed in the years to come. This is probably one of the first time I'll say there is nothing id change in the book.

Check trigger warnings prior to reading as this book mentions drug overdose, parental abuse, cancer, death/accidental death, and mental heath issue.

Thank you NetGalley and W.W Crown/Independent Book Publishers Association for the ARC, this is my honest thoughts of the book.

I absolutely adored reading this book! It was angsty, romantic and such a page turner! The story is about a rich girl in disguise falling in love with a musician from a tough neighborhood and must I say did it give the troupe justice! Jace and Andy meet and they're sure they're meant to be but time and situations keeps pulling them apart (there's several time skips and in the final time skip we find the ending we were all waiting for!). It was sweet, surprisingly softer and a better read than I expected for a YA romance and I like the fact there were plot twists that had me in my emotions! Beautifully executed!

Andrea, a wealthy Upper East Sider, meets Jace, a musician from the Bronx, one day at Central Park. The two become inseparable but find themselves struggling. Is love strong enough to keep them together and heal old wounds?

This story had so many layers and though I felt some similarities to Daisy Jones and the Six (particularly the travelling as a band part) -- what unfolds was pretty ugly and frustrating. We explore topics of grief, deception, betrayal, difficult upbringings, family dynamics and more. For the most part, things seemed black and white, but given the history, things get muddy and especially heartbreaking towards the 2nd half. Overall, this was a rollercoaster of a read and I found myself tearing up at the bitter sweet, yet complicated circumstances of this story.

Quick Summary: A heart wrenching, ugly cry, women's fiction novel

My Review: The Space Between by Sarah Ready is the type of book that stirs up a whirlwind of emotions inside the reader. There is so much to it. It's actually hard to put into words just how moving this novel is. At the core of the story, there is a common thread that is linked to love, family, friendship, and forgiveness. Along with that, however, readers are exposed to ugly actions, cruel attitudes, hurtful incidences, and more. In the end, everything becomes clear and the light that is needed shines on those who need it the most.

My Thoughts: As I was listening to the audiobook I kept thinking how this story reminded me of the love stories I've come to cherish over my lifetime. It had an emotional pull that grabbed my attention and would not release it. I was totally drawn into the stories within the story. I found that there was value and a lesson attached to each person.

My Final Say: This book evoked very strong feelings within me. It was so hard hitting, in fact, that I cried. I smiled. I laughed. I tensed up. I loved. I grieved. I celebrated. I applauded.

I appreciated the struggles. I appreciated the characters. I appreciated the strength that was shown. I appreciated the courage that it took to face that which was unavoidable. It won me over.

Andrea and Jace are meant to be together. They know it from the moment they meet in Central Park. She’s a wealthy girl living in The Tower playing by her parents’ rules, and he’s an orphaned musical prodigy living in the Bronx. Despite their differences, they really see each other. But what happens when life tears them apart? Can they find their way back to each other all those years later?

I loved this so much. The author did a great job painting the scene, and it felt like escaping into an epic love story movie every time I picked this one up. It made me feel all the things and was a really sweeping and moving story of all the different kinds of love. Broken into three parts, you really got to go through life with these characters and see their development and how various events affected and changed them. The depth of the story was really gripping, and I didn’t want it to end.

Thank you to Sarah Ready, W. W. Crown, IBPA, and NetGalley for the advanced listeners copy in exchange for my honest review. This book is out now!

"I love you. I've always loved you and I always will. No matter how long the road to get here, no matter the twists and turns, I'm yours."

I was not prepared to be emotionally devastated. Emotional, yes. Completely wrecked, no.

I don't purposely set out to choose books that will make me a can't breathe snotty, teary-eyed disaster that can barely read the words on the page. But I don't regret a moment of it, because I would have missed out on the love stories portrayed within its pages.

The Space Between wrings everything out of you as it takes you on a beautiful, devastating, and emotional journey of love through joy and sorrow, betrayal and forgiveness, first loves and second chances, heartbreak and happily ever after.

The bonus scene—oh my heart!—is wonderful and emotional, and now I'm wrecked all over again.

It's the kind of read that sticks with you even though it may require a saccharinely sweet or outrageously hilarious read after as an emotional reprieve.

***Note***
This emotional story that includes some possible elements that may be sensitive to some readers:
Spoilerloss of loved ones, terminal illness, vehicular accident, physical violence, attempted assault, and overdose

I unfortunately had to give up on this book and DNF at 35%. The characters instantly falling in love, Andrea pretending to be poor because she hates her wealthy home life… Come on. I didn’t mind Jace (although he was painfully cheesy), but Andrea was unbearable. I really tried to get through this one but I just couldn’t do it.

When I say I NEVER cry when reading books, I mean, I've never had a book make me cry since 2nd grade and reading Where the Red Fern Grows. This book had me at one point ugly crying so hard I could barely breathe. I was not okay. I still may not be okay.

The whole book (leading up to the crying) I was invested. I cared what happened to Andi and Jace. Sarah Ready writes in such a way that you know the characters. You can anticipate their actions, your heart will break for them and with them. The audio narrators were so good (I mean James Fouhey is always amazing). They really brought Andi and Jace to life.

This is far more than just a love story. I mean, it's really not, it's kind of only a love story, but it's far more than a romantic love story. Familial love, parental love, found family, romantic love. It's a story only about love. When the story opens with Jace running through the park to stop Andi from marrying Reed, I got excited. This was going to be THAT kind of book and I was here for it. Then the book went back to the beginning and I was still on board. It jumped ahead and I was slightly less on board. Then came marrying Reed. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I realized that I, too, would've made the same exact choice Andi had made and I, like Andi, wouldn't have regretted it for one second.
