Beautiful Discworld artwork collection with short introductions to the different locations of the Disc, e.g. Ramtops, the Chalk, Ankh-Morpork. Only enjoyable if you know most of the characters and like looking at artwork obviously. Drawings are funny, full of little details & one can see that Paul Kidby loved the Disc. Reading this also made me miss Sir Terry. Gah. 5 Stars
Absolutely loved the artwork in this book. Some I hadn’t seen before. Lovely to be able to see the detail up close after seeing them on book covers and art displays. The subtle differences of the rough draft to the final product impressed me.
The question was posed about whether another person’s artistic interpretation might wreck my/our own, when bringing Terry’s characters to life.
What has happened is I have been taken on a journey back through my memories of Discworld and inhabitants that simply makes me want to read them all again (again).
Plus, I cried at the last few pages. Most unexpectedly.

Exquisite. Superb artwork, really capturing Sir Terry's creations. Some lovely quotes in the book too. One to come back to again and again.
It's a beautiful book that skimmed with me across dozens of books worth of emotional memories. I'm always happy to give the Pratchett estate more money. I hope they do something silly with it, beyond preserving Terry's legacy.
