This psychological thriller took me on a rollercoaster of twists and turns, leaving me both captivated and perplexed. While the intricate plot kept me on the edge of my seat, certain elements left me with mixed feelings.
The narrative follows Amber, a woman in a coma who can hear everything around her. As she pieces together her memories, secrets unravel, and the line between reality and deception blurs.
I loved the premise of this story, but it was hard for me to keep track of the many twists. Plus, the twist at the end keeps confusing me to this day!

My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me:
1. I’m in a coma.
2. My husband doesn’t love me anymore.
3. Sometimes I lie.
Amber wakes up in a coma with no recollection of how she got there. She can't move or speak but she can hear everything around her. And so begins one heck of a psychological thriller.
Wow.
Although this book induced slight claustrophobia in me... ack, it had all the elements of a good thriller that I love, and that will draw me in every time. I was hoping for a good read, what I found was an instant page turner with a HUGE twist I never saw coming and with some major questions about that ending!! I seriously wondered if there would be a sequel?! I guess time will tell! Definitely worth the read regardless!

It’s giving let’s throw everything at the wall, every trope and twist EVER, and see what sticks. Also add a rape scene for absolutely NO reason. Yikes!
It has its unbelievable moments for sure and I could predict where it was going/the twist though that may be because I’ve read from this author before. Overall, I think this is a story that’s interesting and keeps you turning the pages to see what could happen next. It’s a short read too so if you want a quick thriller that draws you in this is the one.
Please check your triggers when reading this as it was more graphic than I expected.

I accidentally spoiled the whole book for myself because I caught sight of a bit of formatting I thought was an acknowledgement in the back while trying to see how many pages there were...
Anyway, beyond that, there was too much happening in the book. Feeney tries so hard to spread the suspicion around, but it was almost a little too desperate. Also, most of the coma scenes were rather boring. However, the final ending came as a bit of a shock (I guess the last two twists?) and the chapters were the perfect length to keep you turning pages. I finished the book in essentially one sitting.
It'll certainly be interesting as a TV series, and I look forward to seeing how they adapt it to screen.
