literally have no idea what I just read. too confusing for me to follow. 2 stars because i had a hard time understanding the plot line. but like all of Mia's books, the writing is impeccable. i loved all her other books, i just couldn't relate to the characters in this one.

This book threw me for a total loop! I began reading it thinking it was one genre, only to finish it knowing differently. It is one of those books that I actually said, "I didn't see that coming!" - over and over again!! There is definitely many twists and turns throughout. This book is AMAZING! I love how the author created a tone throughout the book based on the setting at the time, but also enabled you to keep a certain tone overall. This is just the type of book I enjoy reading. The characters were very real. I felt like there was a true depth to each one. This is just one of those books that give you a good hangover.

I'm truly sad that I didn't like this book. Allow me to explain myself better:

- I was loving this book until the last pages where you find out the "truth"
- Then I found out the truth and I was so mad

I thought the so called "twist" was unnecessary. There were already enough "twists" to the story, so the last one was just uncalled for.

Thanks to Midnight Lily, I'm going to think twice before reading Mia Sheridan's books.

Also, I've noticed I must be one of the only people who seriously disliked this book.

Midnight Lily started out as a really strong 4.5 star read for me. I loved Holden’s struggle, the mystery surrounding Lily, and the way her love gave him the motivation to heal. Somewhere around the 70% mark though, the story seems to lose its way. I couldn’t validate Lily’s actions and her grandmother is a constant irritant. Some of the dialogue between Lily and Holden also becomes rather trite. Having two sympathetic protagonists you can root for is a huge plus though, and the twists and unique plot definitely sucked me in. It’s a bit of a mindf@ck, but I was fairly satisfied with the conclusion – until the epilogue. Maybe I’m just too dense, but the epilogue was odd, confusing, and left me with too much of a

feeling.

While Midnight Lily isn’t my favorite book by Mia Sheridan, I respect her creativity and I’m sure the story will resonate with many readers.
dark emotional sad slow-paced

I like Mia Sheridan, but this was the worst book I have ever read by her.  I kept laughing and rolling my eyes.  I would not recommend (If I rate a book less than 2 stars, I always give an explanation) - I wish I was a DNFer, or else I would of have stopped at the ridiculous twist (emphasis on ridiculous).

There's just something that's magical and enchanting about every story Mia Sheridan weaves. Her books are always completely captivating, spellbinding. Midnight Lily is no different, yet it's in a class all by itself.

In my opinion, Midnight Lily is Mia's most thought provoking story to date. The author that gave us Archer, Leo, Kyland and more, has truly outdone herself with this book.

It's so hard to write a coherent review because there is so much to this story, more than I had ever anticipated. This one has teeth. For fear of inadvertently letting a spoiler slip, I'm just going to say, read it. This is just one of those books that needs to be experienced. Breath in the beauty from its pages and transport yourself into the world of Lily. I'm seriously at a loss for words.

i cant finish this. its so sweet, it satisfies my PMS need for sugar. Ugh...

"No matter how many lives we led, some things remained constant. Always so much truth amidst the make believe, but always having to comeback to our true selves, our true stories, before we could walk out of the darkness."

The perfect book about healing and accepting your true self and a person you love with all his/her flaws. I also like that it focused about mental illnesses and how it affects people, their loved ones and how to move forward with it in a relationship. I truly admire Ryan and Lily's dedication to one another and how they helped each other come out of their own darkness again and again.

I love Mia's writing however, with this one it was all confusing. I love the concept and the mystery but it kind of felt all tangled towards the ending. I am so confused if Lily has a split personality or what? Does Ryan still went back to thinking he was Holland? How did they manage to bring each other back every time? It was good but would've given it 5 stars if the twists and revelations were handled better and if everything was carefully explained further.

The story and writing are lovely, but I think I need a guided tour through the end, because I'm totally confused. What was the truth?
