I have been in a reading slump this past year. I picked up this book from my local library, and finished it in three days! I couldn't put it down! It will make you feel like you fell down the rabbit hole. I loved it!

I liked a lot of the themes and content of this book, but wasn’t able to be swept away by the story because of all the little details that felt important but in a way I couldn’t easily piece together or track. So the sense that I was missing something kept me from feeling immersed. I also felt like the end dragged on and included a lot of plot sequences that weren’t logical, but rather convenient or necessary for where the author wanted to go.

4.5 rounded up, I think it will probably be 5 upon a re-read. It's definitely a book that you're kind of just along for the ride the first time, and I think I'll get more understanding and meaning the second time around.
