Hmm. Not sure how I feel about this one. I understand why people like this one, and Morgenstern is obviously an incredibly talented writer but i never found that I was actually invested in the story, the world, or the characters. The most interesting part was the last 50-100 pages, which is always disappointing.

I really wanted to like this book. A more bookish fantasy from the author of The Night Circus should have been exactly my cup of tea, but it fell a little flat for me. I don't know if it was the book or my mood, but they didn't quite match up this time.

I love Erin Morgenstern! This book is so well structured. I will read this again and again. I love the characters, the setting and the story. I WILL be having a party like the one in the book - who wants to be my storyteller?
